To join the directory, please carefully review the guidelines below before submitting your information. Once approved by the BlackAF Admin, your profile will be added to the Black Artist Foundry Directory and visitors can connect directly with you.

• The directory is FREE & open to all artists that identify as Black. 

• The directory is open to Black artists working in (but not limited to) the following disciplines:

  • Painting, drawing, illustration, comics/narrative arts, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, photography, fiber/textiles, book arts, mixed media, film/video/animation, sound work, graphic design, digital art, and hybrid media, installation, performance art, dance, street art, socially engaged work, interdisciplinary practices, music, theater,  writing, and poetry.

• Artists are expected to be aligned with Black Artist Foundry's mission.

• Artists are expected to be an active, positive contributor to a multidisciplinary, intergenerational, and international community of artists.

• The Black Artist Foundry has a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior or use of our directory, including but not limited to plagiarism, cultural insensitivity, any form of harassment, or unwanted contact online or in person. Any issues should be immediately reported to hey@blackartistfoundry.org.
